Club Notes 30th Sept 2014

Senior team – The Senior team had a good win away to neighbours Doohamlet last Sunday lunchtime. In a high scoring game, the Faughs came out on top by three points with goals coming in the first half from Marty McElroy and Dermot Malone. The final Score was Doohamlet 3- 12 Faughs 2- 17. This result now sees the team move into third place on 17 points. Our next game is on Wednesday 1st of October, when we host Currin at 8pm under lights, and the next league game a home match against Ballybay with a throw in time of 5pm. Club Notes 23/9/2014

Stars in the Faughs Eyes – What can we say about last Saturday night, it really lived up to its billing of “Stars in your Faughs Eyes”, with a show packed full of brilliant performances from start to finish. The crowd of over five hundred were entertained by a variety of local talent, ranging from The Hanratty Rat Pack to the Eamon Mac “Will I amn’t” rap. A big thank you to every person who took to the stage, it’s never easy to get outside your comfort zone and get up on stage but as last Saturday night showed, we have lots of people who will do anything to see the Club advance. Well done to Fitness 4 Life who were the eventual winners, but the reality on a night like this, is that everyone was a winner, the contestants who really performed so well, the audience who had a brilliant evening and the organising committee who put in a huge effort to ensure that the night was such a massive success. Club Notes 16/09/14

Stars in the Faughs Eyes –The day has finally arrived, “Stars in the Faughs Eyes” will take place this Saturday evening in the Glencarn Hotel, with doors opening to the public at 7.45pm. There has been a huge amount of work gone into the development of the show, with a big team of people developing the concept, selling tickets and most importantly practising their acts. We would like to thanks each and every one of the people involved, on what will surely be a night to remember. Tickets are selling extremely well and are available from any committee member or act. We are looking for all members to support this fundraiser, all money raised goes back to support the development of the club and your support on the night is important to us all. We are asking everyone to get out of the arm chair on Saturday evening and join us in the Glencarn for what will a great evenings fun. Continue reading
