Club Notes 18th April

SFL: This week we had two games. First up was the visit of Ballybay to St. Mary’s Park under the floodlights on Wednesday night. In an entertaining game, Ballybay ran out winners on a scoreline of Faughs 2-9, Ballybay 3-13, with good performances from Barry Hanratty and Marty McElroy.
The lads then travelled the short distance to play Donaghmoyne on Saturday evening. Continue reading

Club Notes 11 April 2017

SFL Rd1: Our seniors got their league campaign off to great start with a well deserved win over Truagh last Wednesday night under the new floodlights. The match ended on a scoreline of Faughs 3-11 to Truagh 2-9 with good performances all over the pitch. Next up for the lads is another home match against Ballybay on Wednesday 12th April with a throw-in at 8.00 pm.

Club Notes 4th April 2017

Local Events: This Saturday 8th April sees Castleblayney College play host to a Bank of Ireland sponsored event: Castleblayney Enterprise Town. The aim of this family event is to showcase all that is good in Castleblayney and surrounding areas in terms of businesses, schools, community groups and sports clubs. This family event is free to attend and will run from 12.00 pm – 4.00pm. County Players will be available for photos and autographs, namely Jack Mc Carron, Owen Duffy, Kieran Duffy, Colin Walshe, Conor Mc Manus and Ryan Wylie. Marty Mone will be there with DVDs available for sale and signing on the day and a few special guests will also be there. Kiddie’s Corner with art activities, face painting, nail art, Easter Egg hunt, Ollie the Owl, etc… Please support.
