Faughs welcomes local community input into new Strategic Plan

Friday March 4th will see the first night of the Castleblayney Faughs Clubs Strategic planning for the years 2016 to 2018 taking place in the Castle Suite of the Glencarn from 7.30pm. Over the last number of years the club and the community have seen the benefits of the implementation of the “Clear the Way” plan which spanned from 2010 to the end of 2015; these achievements included a new Juvenile Structure set up, a new Prunty pitch and running track put in place, a new 2,000 seater stand but most importantly has seen the reengagement between the Club and the local community. Stephen Dignam Senior Club Chairperson explained the reason for starting out on the journey of a new Club Strategic Plan “With the vast majority of the previous plan now implement it is now time to look forward to the next number of years. The progress that the club has made over the last few years has been great but we will need to continue this level of work in order for the Club to continue to prosper both on and off the field. We are holding an open evening to get the views of the local community into what they feel are the key blocks of work that the clubs needs to undertake over the next three years. We would ask as many local people to attend as possible so that the final plan represents the local communities view, it will be a good evenings interaction. So come along, as the slogan says ‘Castleblayney Faughs IT’S MY CLUB’; let’s hear what you have to say about it.”
