Feile Peile na Og

The day has arrived – the Féile Peile na Óg is taking place this weekend (Friday 23rd-Sunday 25th) in Monaghan, Cavan and Fermanagh. 160 boy teams and 96 ladies U14 teams will be attending. This means over 6000 players will be taking part with 1000 mentors patrolling the sidelines.

Thousands of supporters will also be coming. Every team will get at least 4 games. (2 15 minute halves) All players will also play at least 30 minutes. Teams will arrive from all over Ireland, Britain and North America
In Monaghan there will be 36 visiting teams – 24 boys and 12 ladies(see attached list of teams visiting county) and all the players will be hosted by local families. Families coming to watch will be giving the local economy a welcome boost.

Faughs Girls Group: Emyvale, Tinahely, Castleblayney, Westport
Faughs Boys Group: Monaghan Harps, Castleblayney, O`Donovan Rossa, St. Colmcille’s

The Faughs girls begin their quest at 6.00 pm this evening in Emyvale, whilst Faughs boys start their campaign at home in St. Marys Park at 3.00pm today.

Basically 2 Group Games on Friday, 1 with your visiting club on Saturday morning. Then it’s off to Quarter Finals either Cup (Top 2 in Group) or Shield (Bottom 2 in Group) where it becomes knock out football. Then on Sunday it’s the Semi – Finals and Finals with all finals in Monaghan having live match day updates on @monaghangaa Twitter
