Have you the fastest athletics club?

November 30th will see one of the last races of the year for most athletes, when the McMahons Supervalu Castleblayney 5K takes place in Castleblayney. Last year’s event attracted lots of different clubs from the North East area. The race is AAI certified on an approved course which is run on closed roads, the course always records quick time. The chipped race will commence at 2pm sharp with registration online at €10 or on the day for €13. All finishers will receive a medal with category prizes while there will also be plenty of parking near registration which will be signposted on the day.

What are the rules?
• There is no limit to the number of people who can enter the competition from any club
• The winning club will be the club with the quickest three runners across the line, these runners will all have been chipped.
• All runners should indicate their club to the registrar at time of registration.

The Prize
Complete bragging rights for the next twelve months, and holders of the fastest Club in the North East title but more importantly bragging rights within your own club as the quickest team!

How do I register?
Online registration is open through www.runireland.com or www.CastleblayneyFaughs.com . Entry fee is €10 pre-registration or alternatively you can pay €13 on the day. There will also be category prizes on the day as well a s a medal for all contestants. This year Galway based fitness guru Pat Divilly will be our guest for the questions and answers session in the Glencarn Hotel directly after the race .This Race has proven to be a very enjoyable event, so why not come along and maybe win those bragging rights over your friends.
