Ladies Football:
Senior Ladies: Our senior ladies were out on Sunday 14th with a home game to Scotstown. The game started off well but with Scotstown getting a lot more shots on target it wasn’t long until they started to pull away. The 2nd half saw the return of Jodie McQuillan and it wasn’t long until she made her presents known when she rattled the back of the net with a goal on the 40th minute. That took us to a 3-point gap and point for point after that. Scotstown finding the net again with 10mins to go the game was more or less won for the visitors. Full Time Score – Castleblayney Faughs 1:05 (8) Scotstown 2:13 (19)
Next Game v Emmett Og, Sunday 21st July.

Men’s Football:
Senior Men: On Friday 12th last our senior men had a home game v Clones in a play-off semi-final. Somewhere no club wants to be but in true Faughs fashion, we came up trumps. The first half was point for point but we went in at half time 2 points up. 10mins into the second half we went 5 points clear with a goal and a score line of 1-08 (11) to 0-06 (6). With about 5 mins to go Clones scored a goal and it got a bit nervy, but we managed to hold on with a 3-point win. Full Time Score – Castleblayney Faughs 1-11 (14) Clones 1-08 (11)
