Ladies Football:
Senior Ladies: Our senior ladies had a two week break owing to Monaghan being in the Ulster Final. They are back out in round 5 of their league this Sunday 26th May with a home game to Scotstown, St. Marys Park 11:00AM
U16’s Div. 1: Our U16’s were out Monday 20th away to Latton. We came away with a win and the points owning to the 26-point score difference. Castleblayney 5-22 (37) Latton 1-08 (11)
Minor’s: Our Minor Div 1. game has been changed to Friday 24th at 7:30PM in St. Marys Park v Aughnamullen.
Mens Football:
Senior Men: Our seniors also had a break but our reserves were out mid-week in the preliminary round of the O’Duffy Cup/Championship. We played Clontibret in a home game for us winning by a 5-point margin – Castleblayney 0-10 Clontibret 0-05

Minor Boys: Our Minor had a home game on Tuesday 21st playing Truagh in St. Marys Park. A great performance from the lads but, goals win game. Castleblayney 1-12 (15) Truagh 3-11 (20)

Maurice Hanratty Memorial Golf Competition Launched: Members of the Hanratty family and Castleblayney Faughs GFC Executive members formally launched the annual Maurice Hanratty Open Golf Competition recently.
Organised on an annual basis in conjunction with Castleblayney Golf Club at Concra Wood and as a fundraising initiative on behalf of Castleblayney Faughs development projects at St. Mary’s Park, this very popular event expects to once again attract entrants from throughout the county, the country and beyond.
The winner will be presented with the Maurice Hanratty Memorial Cup and an impressive array of prizes including a prize for the best score returned by a non island of Ireland entrant will be presented at the presentation event on June 7th at Concra Wood.
This year’s event to take place on June 7th is generously sponsored by Thomas O’Neill and SFS (Steel Form Sections) Castleblayney and the Hanratty Family. It is also supported by on course sponsors. The list of sponsors will be displayed on the day at Concra Wood and permanently on display at St. Mary’s Park.
As an open counting competition the event has already attracted a significant number of entrants. The entry fee is €25 for Castleblayney Golf Club members and €50 for members from other clubs. On-course sponsorship will cost €100.
Tee times can be reserved on www.concrawood.ie or by calling the office at Concra on 0429749485. Any member of the Castleblayney Faughs Executive will be happy to facilitate donations for on course sponsorship.
