Club Notes April 19th

Senior Men: Our seniors lost against a better organised Ballybay team on Friday evening past. After a good start to the league, we have now lost two in a row. The Faughs were behind by a big margin at halftime, but an early rally in the second half made inroads into the Ballybay lead, but it was in vain as Ballybay ran out the winners. We now have a couple of weeks to re-group before we travel to Truagh on the 27th April.

Well Done: Congratulations to 2 Faughs players, Pauric Carville and Daithi Kelly who recently won medals in Ulster boxing. A fantastic achievement lads!

FRC McKeown Cup: Our third team had a convincing win over Clontribret on Wednesday evening past in the preliminary round of the FRC McKeown Cup. Played in dry conditions the team which was a good mixture of youth and experience, the team scored some great scores and put together great phases of play. Final score Faughs 1-14, O’Neills 1-09.
