The Big Match After a number of years of extremely hard work by lots of different people within the Club, we are delighted to welcome the Monaghan Senior Team back to St.Marys Park for their much eagerly await Allianz Division One second round game against Cork. Indeed Cork were the last intercounty team to visit Monaghan in the National League in St.Marys Park back in 2006 but thankfully St.Marys Park has undergone a major redevelopment since that cold wet day. Patrons will now be able to watch both teams playing on our “Croke Park” size prunty pitch from the comfort of a fantastic new covered seating stand. The event has been well planned out but we will require a number of stewards for the afternoon so if you are free please give Melissa a text 087 7617216. After Monaghan’s brilliant win last Saturday we anticipate that there will be a big crowd in town to hopefully cheer Dermot and the boys onto another victory. Look forward to see everyone there early on Sunday.
Juvenile Presentation The Juvenile presentation will take place in The Glencarn Hotel on Saturday 7th of February at 7.30pm until 9pm, this event is open to everyone in the community as we present medals from Under 12‘s up to Minor level. There will be some finger food served as well as Tea/Coffee for the Mam’s and Dad’s. We will have one of the County’s free takers present on the night to give out the medals to the boys and girls. We are asking as many of our Club supporters to be there on the night to show their support to these Boys and Girls who will no doubt be the next generation of successful Faughs stars.
Juvenile Training “Well at long last I hear you say” after a break of a few weeks, Juvenile training returns to full swing this week. Monday night saw the Girls return to the Astro turf with the U8 to U12 girls training at 7pm -8pm while the U14 to Minors started at 8pm -9pm.
On Wednesday night the U14 squad got back together at 7-8pm on the Astro turf while Thursday night will no doubt see an invasion of boys and girls U6’s go to Rath Na nOg from 6–7pm, U8 Boys go to Astro Turf also from 6–7pm while the U10’s Boys will start at 7– 8pm. Finally the U12 team return to training on February 10th (Tuesday) again on the astro turf from 7-8pm. We are delighted to see new faces and we would ask parents to encourage all children in the local community to attend, not alone will the children develop some fundamental movements and GAA skills but more importantly they will have fun in a very friendly, safe environment.
U10 Fun Fives The U10 team travel to Ballybay Community College for an indoor blitz next Saturday morning, throw in is at 9.30am with the boys expected to be back at around 11.30pm. Due to large numbers we will only be able to cater for the Boys who were born in 2005, this Blitz is now an annual event so the current U9’s will get to play in it next year.

Well done This week’s well done goes out to the Hurling Club who put on a great variety show last Friday night to a packed audience in Iontas, a night of singing, music and some fine “play writing “ had the audience captivated for nearly three hours, well done to all who took part. I think we should also mention the Grounds man in Omagh for making sure that he got the lights back working midway through the second half of the National League game which saw Monaghan secure two valuable points in their first league game.
