Farney Sismsa Challenge: Looking for something to do. Monaghan gaa have launched the Acorn Life ‘Farney go Rockland Siamsa Challenge 2021’. This will run from the 1st – 31st of March. Each day in March they will post videos and submissions for the Challenge to their social media platforms. Households can take part in one or all of the following:  Song as Geailge no as Bearla    
Art. Huge scope here Theme can be Gaa / March/ Gaeilge / St Patricks Day   
Tune, Comhra (can be a good news story as Gaeilge or Sean Focail)   
Recitation, Dance, Local Heritage (Landmarks, Cures, Superstitions, Traditions in the Family, down memory lane etc) this can be text and photos or audio.  All entries will be posted on Monaghan GAA social media.

Steward training: Europlan in conjunction with Cumann Lúthchleas Gael have now placed the Approved Stewards Training Course Online. The course is simply set and accessible on a 24-hour basis out for all users to facilitate those on various work schedules. We hope the course assists all counties in preparing for the return of patrons to our games later on. Faughs in Conversation: Last weeks event proved to be a massive success with a great evenings entertainment. This weekend on “Faughs in Conversation” Stephen Dignam is joined by Aidan Tavey & Derek O’Sullivan to discuss their footballing journey from historic unbeaten juvenile teams to making their championship debuts as 16 year olds. They will also look back at their championship highs and lows as well as their favourite moments in the Green and Gold. The link will be available by contacting Stephen on: stephendignam75@gmail.com and it will be posted on Friday as per last week. The interview will start at 8pm on Saturday 6th March.

Membership: That time of year again were our club memberships is due. As per everything else at the minute, the setup is different with club memberships and registrations been completed online. The breakdown of membership for the year is as follows, Adults 100 euro, Student 60 euro both of which include gym use. Juveniles 30 euro, Cairde 300 euro which includes player membership fee. Non player rates are as follows Adult 50 euro, Adult social – for walking track only 25 euro, Family 100 euro. Pay online by logging in and registering on returntoplay.gaa.ie or alternatively drop it into a sealed envelope at the various lotto boxes located in the town. Pitches: Please note that the pitch remains closed until further notice. After all the recent poor weather, the pitch needs time to repair so it is ready for the date we are all so anxiously waiting for. Thanking you for you cooperation.
