Senior team – The Senior team played newly crowned County Champions Clontibret last Saturday evening, in a very entertaining match. Both sides had spells of excellent attacking football and after twenty minutes the Faughs looked dead and buried when they trailed 1-6 to 3 points. However a great strike to the back of the Clontibret net by Benny McElroy saw the men in Green and Gold go in at the break two points up. After Dermot Malone and Benny McElroy found the net early in the second half, the Faughs looked to be cruising, but a Clontibret goal narrowed the gap to three before Fergal Malone got the Faughs fourth goal. Final Score Faughs 4-15 Clontibret 3-12. Next up for the Senior team is an away trip to Magheracloone on Saturday the 18th Oct at 7pm. Please note that this fixture is in Inniskeen. Well done lads keep it going.
