Club Notes April 10th

SFL Men: Our senior men went down against a well-prepared Carrick team on Sunday past. Played in dry conditions, the lads were only a few points down at half time. Carrick took control in the second half and came out on top on a scoreline of Faughs 0-16, Carrick 3-16.
There is a break for a couple of weeks, before the boys travel to Inniskeen on April 22nd.

U13 Boys: Last Saturday the Under 13 Division 5 Team travelled to play Carrick in a very entertaining match. Carrick started brightly before the young Faughs started to find their feet and with points from Canice Murphy and Diarmaid Kelly but Carrick scored two goals just before half time to leave the score at Carrick 2-5 Faughs 1-6 at the break. The second half was equally as tight and exciting with both teams trading points before the Faughs scored two decisive goals, the first through Cian Cooke with the second coming from the boot of Bríon Sherry to leave the Faughs up by two with seven minutes to go. Carrick went all out to try and get the vital scores but some heroic defending by Dylan Mallie, Cormac Conlon and Ben Mc Donnell kept the Emmett’s at bay while at the other end a free from Max Mc Ginnity left the Faughs three in front at the end.

Cul Camp: Over the next number of weeks, Monaghan Coaching & Games will be accepting applications for the position of Kellogg’s Cul Camp Coaches and Assistant Coaches for the 2018 camps.
Any coaches wishing to apply for work at the Kellogg’s Cul Camps in Monaghan will need to fill in the application form. You can download the Application Form from www.monaghangaa.ie.

Well Done: Well done to all our players who participated in the Community Games swimming finals in Monaghan on Sunday past.

Well Done to Monaghan U17 Boys who reached the league final after a great 3-11 to 1-9 win over Tyrone on Saturday last. The lads will now meet Donegal in the final next Saturday.
