Reserves – Our reserve team opened the football season for the Club with a home game against Ballybay last Saturday. It was Ballybay who settled the quickest with three points within the first five minutes before Gerry Brady opened the scoring for the Faughs which was quickly followed by further points from Pauric Green and Jim Mc Hugh before Ballybay regained the lead with a goal. The Pearse Brothers added three more points to leave the Half time Score Faughs 0-5 Ballybay 1-8.The second half proved to be low scoring with the Faughs restricting Ballybay to two points and when Ronan McNamara found the net with a couple of minutes to go we thought we would get a share of the spoils but in fairness to Ballybay they closed out the game to win by two points .Final Score Faughs 1-8 Ballybay 1-10. Our next game is away to Emyvale at 12pm on Sunday 15th of March.
