Club Notes – October 25th

Lotto:
No Winners in this weeks Lotto, winning numbers were 5, 6, 12 & 14, jackpot was €3300. Well done to Sean Connolly who wins €50 in the Lucky Dip. Watch out for sellers this coming week as the jackpot will be €3400 and remember you can always play @ http://lotto.castleblayneyfaughs.com The online version provides a very easy way to pick your numbers and automatically keeps track of your contact details and favourite numbers.

Faughs Share Draw: With a chance to win €12,000 top prize (plus 5x€1,200 runner-up prizes), we would ask anyone and everyone associated with the club to purchase at least one ticket, take on the responsibility of selling at least one further ticket (family&friends) and help spread the word about our new Share Draw. A full ticket costs €100 and with only a maximum of 1200 tickets available this is a great opportunity of winning a big cash prize. The sole purpose of the draw is the development of our much needed second pitch which will be an enormous benefit to the current and future generations of Faughs players. We have a team of ticket sellers who will be visiting different areas throughout the next while so please do your best to support this very worthy cause. Tickets can also be purchased from any exec committee member or online at sharedraw.castleblayneyfaughs.com

Operation TransFAUGHSmation: This Saturday sees our annual Spinathon taking place at the entrance to McMahons SuperValu. As usual, all proceeds raised will go to very worthwhile local charities. Please support in any way you can. Don’t forget there will be plenty of bikes available – everyone is more than welcome to flex their cycling legs!

The popular McMahons SuperValu Faughs 5K Walk & Run is fast coming up on the horizon. The walk/run is taking place on the 24th November – this is a great event for both young and old, walkers and runners, so keep this date in your diaries. As usual this year we will also be having an U14 2K event taking place before the 5K. This is a great community event so we would ask everyone to turn out on the day to either take part in the walk&run or cheer on the many people who have put in a massive effort to get to the startline. We haven’t forgotten about the more experienced runner – this is a very flat course and with traffic diversions in place so if you are looking for that elusive PB, this could be your opportunity. To register, simply go to 5k.castleblayneyfaughs.com

Well Done:
Well done the everyone involved with the Boy’s School winning the county title against a well prepared Monaghan team last Saturday. The lads all played great so lets hope the Faughs contingent can carry over that form into the forthcoming season. Well done to Masters Hanratty and McEneaney on preparing the team.

Congratulations to Faughs player Shea Casey who has been selected on the Ulster Basketball side. Well done Shea on a brilliant achievement.

Well done to Our Ladies Secondary School who put on a series of fantastic shows in Iontas last week. Credit to the students, teachers and everyone involved!

Best Wishes to everyone doing Operation TransFAUGHSmation this year. The group continues to give their all at every session. The end is in sight, so keep up the hard work and remember that all the effort will be worth it!
