This Sunday see the Castleblayney Faughs Football Club change their traditional green & gold jerseys for the white aprons of Iontas kitchen, as the club set up for their first ever breakfast morning. Sunday the 15th of June will be a special day; firstly it is Father’s Day, secondly the Monaghan Senior team will open their defence of their Ulster Championships for the first time in twenty six years. If that wasn’t enough, the morning will start with a lovely Ulster Fry cooked by the Club members of the Castleblayney Faughs. The first breakfast is expected to be on the table for nine o’clock and the club officials will serve right up to 12 pm. At €8 per person it represents great value for every customer.
The Club Senior Chairperson Stephen Dignam explained the thought behind the concept “The Ulster Championship is always a special occasion. With the throw in for the Monaghan match been early we felt we could offer supporters a hassle free morning by supplying them with a lovely Ulster Fry before they go to Clones. That fact that the match falls on Father Days is an extra bonus. We hope that people come out in large numbers to support the fundraiser, the club really appreciates the support that we get from the people of the area. We have to thank all the sponsors who have got behind the breakfast morning, their support is always valued by everyone within the Club. We hope that our Breakfast morning is the perfect start to a good Father Days, a Monaghan win with either Dermot Malone or Marty McElroy kicking the winning score would leave us all extremely happy”.
If you fancy a nice breakfast this Sunday then Iontas sounds like the place to be.
