It’s nearly that time of year again. Operation TransFAUGHSmation 2016 is on the horizon and we in Castleblayney Faughs are really looking forward to starting once again and to seeing new faces and meeting old friends. This year we have retained the bulk of our format, but following consultation with previous and potentially new participants and various Fitness Professionals, we are tweaking some aspects in ways that will make it even better for those taking part.
Year in year out, we in Operation TransFAUGHSmation meet people who say to us that they would love to take part in our programme but they feel that it is too advanced for them and that they find the idea of joining us too daunting. They mention that it is only for “fit” people or those who are training all the time.
Well this year we are throwing down the gauntlet by inviting those people, who either through their own perception as being so overweight or so unfit, they feel unable to take part in our programme, to contact us NOW either by PM on our Operation TransFAUGHSmation FACEBOOK page or by contacting Jazza at 0868194157, Tom at 0876290806 or Louisa at 0877981035 and allow us the opportunity to dispel those myths and convince those same people that there is a place for everyone on Operation TransFAUGHSmation regardless of fitness levels. We feel our activities are devised in a manner to allow everyone the opportunity to take part and everyone the opportunity to test themselves. This contact will be treated with strict confidentiality.
We would also ask everyone to remember that our motto and focus is always “A Fun Way To A Healthier Lifestyle.” Since we started, we have treated our programme very seriously but equally put every effort in to make sure that fun is had along the way, and that it is as much a social outlet as a Fitness Programme.
On a more general note, sometimes when people mention Circuit training there is a misconception of how tough it is. Circuit training is widely accepted as an ideal method of group training because each person can work to their own limits regardless of their fitness levels. In Operation TransFaughmation, when we are planning our classes, each one is planned from a point of view of challenging each person within the group to reach their own goals and we are conscious of the fact that every person’s limits are different. In addition if there is any exercise a person feels unable to do because of injury or other restriction, all of our coaches are more than willing to offer a suitable alternative and we encourage people never to be afraid to approach us and ask as we always view those questions as a sign of the person’s interest rather than a problem. Over the coming weeks we will release the Schedule of Events for 2016 and it will all kick off with registration on the 23rd of August 2016
So if you have been holding back from joining us before now through self consciousness, trepidation or fear, please contact us before the 25th of July 2016. For further information regarding this year’s programme and a possible new initiative aimed at
those who previously thought OPTFM was out of their reach, please contact us at the details already provided above or see our Operation TransFAUGHSmation Facebook page / website www.castleblayneyfaughs.com
