Castleblayney Faugh’s notes week beginning 07/03/2022

Fixtures: Faugh’s v Aughnamullen at Aughnamullen on Saturday 12th March at 5pm in the Reserve Football League Div 1B Platinum Tanks Round 1.

Faugh’s v Rockcorry: Our season began on Saturday past with a home game against Rockcorry in the RFL Div3.  Starting with a youthful looking team we were very soon on the scoreboard with a point from Jake McManus.  The lads played with plenty speed and power and skill and were soon well on top.  There were plenty of goals with Odhran McArdle, Martin Joyce, Jake McManus and Ciaran McEneaney all raising the green flag.  The Faughs were well up at half time and that gave management a chance to freshen things up with 5 substitutions. While not as dominant in the second half the lads finished out the match on a scoreline of Faughs 5-08, Rockcorry 0-05.  Next up we travel to play Aughnamullen in the RFL Div1B on Saturday, throw in at 5.00pm.
