U15’s: The 1st team took on Clontibret on Thursday last in a very close and competitive game. Blayney started well and continued their good work for the first half and held a narrow two point lead at half time. Into the second and the visitors came back strong and raised the green flag to take a 4 point lead. But Blayney responded like they always do and battled back to level the game. The game could have swung either way but Clontibret took two late scores before a late Blayney point left a single point between the sides. While disappointing result for the team, they get to respond with a home game V Monaghan Harps this Thursday at 7.30.
