Club Notes 05/10/20

Mural: This week saw the unveiling of a new mural on York Street of the legend that is Eugene “Nudie” Hughes. Truly deserved and a big well done to the Castleblayney regeneration team and the artist Ciarán Dunleavy for fantastic job done. A special visitor to York Street today to see his finished mural. An amazing art piece to recognise the achievements of the legend that is Eugene “Nudie” Hughes. A truly well deserved recognition for all his achievements with the Faughs and Monaghan over the years. A big well done to Castleblayney regeneration and the artist Ciaran Dunlevy for a fantastic piece of work. Unfortunately due to Covid their couldn’t be an official unveiling but the mural is there for all to see at any time. Congrats

Lotto: There was no winner of this weeks Lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 4, 8, 12, & 27. Lucky dip winner was Arlene Leonard, Castleblayney. Next weeks Lotto is worth €7600. Remember as the lotto is still our only source of income during Covid and with the Faughs undertaking the new huge development of St Mary’s Park, we urge everyone to keep playing and supporting our club on lotto.castleblayneyfaughs.com.

AGM: Our AGM day is Friday 13th. Due to the pandemic this is a non-physical event. We will be sending out AGM reports shortly and there will be an opportunity to ask any questions or submit queries which the executive will respond to in due course. Pitch: After the short season the Faughs pitch is now closed for its winter break.

Volunteers wanted: The club is looking to undertake a variety of tasks to improve the facilities at St Mary’s Park. We are looking for volunteers (skilled and not so skilled) to help with activities such as tiling, painting, roof repair, plaster work erecting fencing, power-hosing etc. We are keen to get as many people as possible to volunteer so as we can spread the work load.
