Book Launch: Last Friday saw the eagerly anticipated launch of the book ” A Club and Its Community” written by Joe Hanratty. What was a real winters evening, it didn’t deter people from turning out in good numbers to support Joe on what is a truly wonderful read of the history of Castleblayney Faughs from 1888 till 2020. Well done to our two competition winners Irene Cairns and Shane Ward. The book is now on sale in Mc Mahons Super Valu, Katie Duffys, Loughman Sports, Circle K, Watters Londis & Mc Mahons Centra at a cost of €25. An ideal stocking filler for all you Faughs supporters out there.

Lotto: There was no winner of this weeks Lotto. Numbers drawn were 11, 12, 14 & 25. Lucky dip this week went to Arlene Leonard, Castleblayney. Next weeks draw is worth €8100. Remember keep playing and supporting your club on lotto.castleblayneyfaughs.com. All monies raised going towards our new development.

Bingo: Bingo resumed last Saturday & continues this Saturday @ 2.30pm in St. Marys Park following strict Covid guidelines. We encourage everyone to come out and support the bingo and be in with a chance to win the jackpot which is now worth a lovely €4500 on 47 calls or less with all the other usual cash prizes. All monies raised going towards the cost of our new development.

Pitch: Reminder that the Faughs remains closed at present for the winter until further notice.

Winter training: Winter training program continues for all our juveniles with excellent numbers still attending. New players still welcome. See your relevant team app for information on dates and times.

Congrats: The annual county convention was held last week and brought more success to the Faughs. A huge well done to Eamon McEneaney who was a recipient into the hall of fame, Raymond Malone on receiving the junior referee award and the club for winning the overall youth achievement award. All fully deserved and worthy winners. Also we’ll done to Castleblayney Hurling on winning the youth achievement award for hurling.
