Club Notes 25th July

With no matches during the past week for the senior team or the reserves, all eyes switched to our juvenile teams. Playing some great football, our U16 boys brought home the silverware when they won the tournament in Carrickcruppin.

Well done to all the players involved and all of the coaching team. The future is definitely bright with this group of players.

The club organised a blitz for the U8 and U10 girls on Saturday past. There was a great turnout and all the players should be very proud of the skill, effort and determination on what was a memorable day for all involved.

Operation TransFaughmation: Watch out for the registration dates/times for our Operation TransFaughmation. It will be bigger and better than ever, so spread the word and be sure to get signed up early.

Fun in the Park: After a great afternoon in Cresent Hill, our Fun in the Park initiative finishes up in Drumillard this Saturday from 4pm – 5 pm. Aimed at girls and boys aged 4 – 8, the program will see the coaches, senior players and maybe even a County player playing games with the children. Hope to see you all there!

Faughs Summer Camp: Registration Night for the Faughs Summer Camp is this Thursday night at the field from 7-8pm. Our annual The McMahons Centra Faughs Summer Camp takes place on the 9th-12th August. This promises to be a great event for the children from around our community and beyond. Application forms for the camp will be available at training over the coming weeks and also in McMahons Centra & Supervalu.

Under 8 & 10 Girls: On Saturday past our U8 and U10 girls entertained O’Neill Shamrocks, Truagh, Latton and Scotstown for a series of matches at St. Mary’s Park. In a set of evenly matched games, all the girls performed fantastically well, and the practice they have been doing really shone through. The girls showed some great skill and lots of effort and determination. Well done to all, including of course all of our visitors.
