SFL Men: Our Senior men travelled to Scotstown on Sunday past for a league game. In a nip and tuck and very low scoring first half there was only a point in it 0-03 to 0-02 in favour of Scotstown.
The game opened up a bit in the second half, although the home side did lead by 4 at one stage 0-07 to 0-03. Blayney dug deep and pulled the game back to a point by getting 3 in a row. With time nearly up our lads went in front with a goal, 0-08 to 1-06, but there was still drama to unfold: In injury time Scotstown went one up, and unfortunately the full time whistle went before Blayney had a chance to draw the game. Despite a good display we came back empty handed. Next game is a home match against Inniskeen on the 3rd July.
U14 Girls: Our U14 Girls led the way on Monday night past with a powerful display over a good Scotstown team. All the girls showed great skill and athleticism in great conditions for football. From the goalkeeper to the full forwards the whole team put on a great display. Well done to the players and management
