Club Notes 5th March

RFL Div 3: Our reserves hosted Truagh on Saturday past. In a one sided game we came away with the honours on a 8-10 to 0-6 scoreline. This was a great result for the first competitive game of the season. Well done to everyone involved. Next game is away to Sean McDermotts this coming Sunday at 4.30pm.

RFL Div 1A: We travelled to Truagh on Sunday to take on Truagh. Having met the previous day in Div3, confidence was high we could get a result. Truagh started of the better team and raced into a 0-05 to 0-00 lead midway through the 1st half. The Faughs got off the mark in the 17th minute, but still went into half time 0-10 to 0-04 down. The second half was a completely different story and the lads put in a great shift to get back into the game. In fact the Faughs were a point ahead in the closing stages of the match. Truagh came back with the last point of the game to leave the honours shared on a scoreline of 13 points each. A great fightback from the Faughs – next up is a home game with Clontibret this coming Sunday at 12.30pm.
