All Star Presentation: Massive well done to Mark Treanor and Martin McElroy who both picked up an All-Star at the recent County All-Stars event held in the Glencarn.
Senior Men: Our seniors got their league of to a great start with a well deserved win against Scotstown at St. Mary Park on Saturday evening past. It was nip and during the first half, but gradually the Faughs edged out a lead they would not relinquish. The lads went in a half times 0-08 to 0-05 up. The lads maintained their grip on the tie in the second half and even a couple of red cards did not negatively affect the team. The Faughs raised the green flag with a penalty half way through the second half and ran out well deserved winners despite Scotstown getting a last minute goal to leave a point between the sides. Final score Faughs 1-11, Scotstown 1-10.
Next up for the lads is an away fixture against Inniskeen, 7.00pm this coming Saturday.
U9-Boys: Well done to the stars of the future as our U9’s played their first competitive games of the season with the Go-Games blitz in Clontibret recently. THe lads all played fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed the games.
Easter Camp: Monaghan GAA are now taking online bookings for this year’s Easter Camps.
Dates: 23rd, 24th & 25th April, 10am to 2.30pm daily.
Venues – Clones, Ballybay & Scotstown. €40 per child, €35 for every child after.
Monaghan GAA U14 Development Squad: trials have been moved to Saturday the 6th of April from 2-4pm in Cloghan.
