Club Notes, May 19th 2015

The Big Breakfast: The Club will hold a breakfast morning this Sunday the 24th of May 2015 in Iontas between 9.00 am and 12pm. This is an ideal opportunity for all Monaghan supporters to get an Ulster Fry before Monaghan play Cavan in the Ulster Championship in Kingspan Breffni Park at 2pm. The Breakfast is great value at €8 per person and we encourage as many of you to come along for what promises to be a good social morning with plenty of pre-match analysis. We would like to thank all of our Sponsors in advance who helped to support the event.

Senior Team: The Senior team picked up a point on Sunday when they travelled to Donaghmoyne Sunday afternoon. It was Donaghmoyne who opened the game the strongest and led at halftime by 3 points. A goal midway through the second half from Jim Mc Hugh saw the deficit cut to 1 point followed up by Martin McElroy with a couple of quick points which saw the Faughs take the lead for the first time in the match with five minutes to go but a late Donaghmoyne point saw the game finish in a draw. Next up for the Senior Team is a home game against Truagh Wednesday night in St Mary’s Park with a throw in time of 7.45pm.

The cost to purchase a horse on the night is €10.00 and to sponsor a race for the night is €50.00 so we hope that you will all invest in a horse or two before the big night!! Remember all the money raised goes to support the players of tomorrow. Please contact Paddy Conlon for further details on buying a horse or sponsoring a race on the night.
