Club Notes October 9th

Senior Men: Our Senior men took on Monaghan Harps on Friday night past under the lights at St. Mary’s Park with important league points on offer. With several of our regulars missing, there were a few changes all over the pitch, but the lads set their stall out from the beginning of the game and were well in control throughout the first half kicking some lovely scores. Halftime score Faughs 1-08, Harps 0-01. In the second half the lads took their foot off the pedal a little bit and in an entertaining game of football, the final score was Monaghan Harps 0-08, Castleblayney Faughs 1-13. One final league game remains before any potential play-offs – a home game with Clontibret on Sunday 28th October.

U12 Girls Cup Final:
Well done to our U12 girls who exceeded all expectations this year and reached the Cup Final. Unfortunately, it was just a step too far for this group of talented players and a very strong Carrick took home the silverware. This is a very young squad of players so there is plenty of trophies for these young ladies to win down the line. Well done to all the players and the management involved.

Performance Coaching for Gaelic Games

We have specific committees targeting: Community Health & Wellness, Scor & Irish Culture, Facilities Development, Marketing & Communications, Finance, Coaching and Games Development.
