Faughs Notes

Its getting towards the business end of the season with knockout stages of the league starting next week and the championship approaching fast. This is our first time in the IFC and the following teams are in our group: Cremartin, Doohamlet, Clones and Monaghan Harps.

The initial group games begin August 13th. With our senior men through to a home Q/F in the league next week against Clones, its the turn of our Reserves to take centre stage this weekend.First up in the RFL Div 3A semi we travel to Clontibret on Friday at 8.00.On Sunday we take on Inniskeen away in the RFL Div 1B semi.Best wishes to both teams.

Our annual Summer Camp is on this August, 9th, 10th and 11th. Every year the children absolutely love it and this year will be no different.There are limited spaces so get booking at www.castleblayneyfaughs.com/summercamp.

We are 3 weeks out from festival, we are looking bar staff, Bar B Que staff, young workers to help stock the bars etc, stewards and volunteers to help get the grounds ready, to help with painting, bunting, spraying, etc… if you’re available for any duties, please get in touch.

At end of June we hosted the Acorn Life Spraoi Scór quiz in Iontas. A massive thank you to Darren for having everything set up. We entered 2 teams Ryan Hatchett, Liam Beirne, Max Lambe Eoghan Lambe, and Niamh Brennan, Saoirse Mc Mahon, Reece Morris, Ellen Casey.

Then on Friday evening in Clontibret Niamh Brennan sang a beautiful rendition of Grace winning 3rd place. Well done Niamh and we look forward to you representing our club again.If anyone would like to enter or help with Scór text Clare 0860702195. Senior Scór is in September and would be great to enter a few events. Congratulations to Kealan & Aimee Duffy, Johnny & Gail McGeough Deaglan & Kate Crowe on the birth of their baby boys recently.
