Have you the fastest GAA club in the Monaghan?

With the football season coming to an end, your no doubt reflecting on what has been a great year for you and your club or as in most cases your starting to look forward to 2015 already. Just before you settle into your reflective mood, we at the Castleblayney Faughs would like to lay down one last challenge to you all in 2014. We are delighted to announce our fourth annual McMahons Supervalu Castleblayney 5km road race which will take place on Sunday 30th of November at 2pm. Last year we had good support from a number of the local GAA clubs and this year we are hoping for even more.

What are the rules?
• There is no limit to the number of people who can enter the competition from any club
• The winning club will be the club with the quickest three runners across the line; these runners will all have been chipped.
• All runners should indicate their club to the registrar at time of registration and preferably wear their Club Jersey’s

The Prize
The Fastest GAA Club in County Monaghan trophy but more importantly the bragging rights for the next twelve months, last year the Faughs were the winners with Latton a close second, followed by neighbours Doohamlet in third, can your Club stop the Faughs going for a four in a row?
How do I register?

Online registration is open through www.runireland.com or www.CastleblayneyFaughs.com . Entry fee is €10 pre-registration or alternatively you can pay €13 on the day. There will also be category prizes on the day as well a s a medal for all contestants.

We have some very special guest on the Day including Pat Divilly from Divilly Fitness and Gerry Duffy from 32 Marathons in 32 Days. Last year this proved to be a very enjoyable event, so why not come along and maybe win those bragging rights over your friends which no doubt will make your Christmas even more special!
