Wohoo!!!!. We’re back. People of mid Monaghan be warned, Operation TransFAUGHSmation is coming again with a programme of fun filled and specially tailored events designed to get you to a fitter and happier place. The award winning programme which is a proven winner with participants will kick off with the registration night on Tuesday 26th of August in Our Lady’s Secondary School Concert Hall from 7 to 9pm, which will be followed Information night on the 9th of September 2014.
At the launch this week, chief organiser Tom Miller explained the success of the programme was its ability to live up to its motto of “a fun way to a healthier lifestyle”. Tom went on to outline what Operation TransFAUGHSmation will look like in 2014: “We have retained many of the classes which have proved so successful in the past, we have added some new classes and all together they will provide you with 12 weeks of exercise in a fun environment. Each week sees Operation TransFAUGHSmation provide you with three classes each week for 12 weeks and we have retained our price of €60”. Former Faughs legend and Star Fitness instructor of Operation TransFAUGHSmation Jason “Jaza” Hughes was genuinely excited by the prospect of getting the new programme off to a good start; “look, its very simple we want all the participants to have fun while they exercise. This programme is for everyone, and we mean everyone, regardless of your age, gender or level of fitness, we keep improving the programme each year and it just seems to get better and better”. The programme will again conclude with the North East’s largest winter 5k run on Sunday 30th of November, when all the participants will join hundreds of other Athletes and walkers to complete the Supervalu Castleblayney 5K.
