Club Notes 25th April

Good night out: Race Night in the Spinning Wheel this Friday, 28th April Please come along and have a bit of craic while supporting a great cause. First race is at 9.00 pm.

Reserves: The B’s bowed out of the Reserve Championship on Friday evening last when they suffered a defeat to a strong Latton team. It was a case of what might have been for an injury beset Faughs team who lost a number of regulars before the game and had to use a good number of subs due to injuries suffered during the game. The team started brightly and led midway through the first half by 4 points following a goal. But a rally from the visitors saw them take a 3 point half time lead which they never looked like surrendering as the injuries mounted up for the home side. A very well worked and taken goal from young Mark Hughes was the highlight of the second half as the team battled to the end but were beaten on a 1.19 to 2.08 score line. The team will now focus on the league for the remainder of the year. Speedy recovery to Ben McNee who broke a collarbone and Liam McElroy who suffered a knee injury during the game.
Starting 15: Bart McNamara, Ethan McCann, Liam McElroy, Colin Merrick, Aidan McElroy, Jimmy Walsh, Ruairi Farrell, Damien Hughes, John Beattie, Aidan Lynch, Davy McMahon, Fergal McGeough, Kevin Mackin, Fintan Finnegan, Ben McNee
