Reserve Men: We had 2 S/F championship games this past week. First up we were against Maghercloone in the O’Duffy Cup and in a game that ebbed and flowed, we unfortunately came out on the wrong end of 1-15 to 1-13 result. Next up we travelled to to Truagh in the McKeown Cup, an in a powerful performance the Faughs won 6-12 to 0-09.
The lads now meet old rivals Scotstown in the final on Sunday 16th June @ 2.00pm.
U12 Girls: Last Friday the u12 girls had a home match in the league against Inniskeen. This was the first of the league games and while our girls fought hard particularly in the second, Inniskeen proved too strong and won on the night.
Next match is away to O Neill’s date and time to be confirmed.
Training continues Monday evenings at 6pm.
U14 Girls: Our u14 team had an away match against Tyholland Monday evening. Another match which needed to be won if we have any chance to qualify for top 4. With a depleted team on the night Blayney were beaten by Tyholland who were hungrier and more determined to get the win.
Training continues again on Monday and Friday evenings with a full attendance expected for the remainder of the season.
U8 & U10 Girls: Our girls are playing in a blitz in Aughnamullen this coming weekend. No doubt they will put in a great performance. Best of luck to everyone involved.
U11 Boys: The boys make the short trip this Saturday to take on Killeveen in the Spring League final. Best of luck to our 2 teams taking part.
Best Wishes: Wishing all our players sitting exams in the coming days and weeks the very best of luck.
Good luck: Best of luck to our juvenile players who are taking part in the hurling Feile this weekend in Cork!
